Sacrifice

There are many things that we sacrifice as leaders.  One example of a time when I had to sacrifice something was last Sunday.  For my church calling, I am serving as the Relief Society secretary.  This calling calls for great sacrifice.  Last Sunday we had a meeting to set up visiting teaching which lasted three hours.  That day I had wanted to take a nap, make Sunday dinner, and just relax.  But, as a leader I had to sacrifice my time for the well being of the other girls.
I began to get frustrated with the length of the meeting but after humbling myself I realized that this sacrifice would benefit the sisters in my ward greatly.  At this meeting the spirit was so strong as we received revelations of which sisters should teach who. Through this sacrifice I was able to grow a deeper love for the sisters in the relief society and I began to know them on a more personal level.
